Tuteliq provides AI-powered content analysis that protects children in digital environments, enabling platforms to comply with child safety legislation while creating safer online experiences for young users.
“We do not sell safety. We build infrastructure so that safety is the default, not the exception.”
The Mission: Why This Matters
Before you decide, read these numbers. They are not projections. They are not estimates from a pitch deck. They are verified statistics from the University of Edinburgh, UNICEF, NCMEC, and Interpol.
children are victims of online sexual exploitation and abuse every year, 10 children every second.
Childlight / University of Edinburgh, 2024
children globally have been victims of non-consensual sexual imagery in the past year.
Childlight, 2024
girls and women alive today experienced rape or sexual assault in childhood. An estimated 240–310 million boys and men experienced the same.
UNICEF, 2024
incidents of suspected child sexual exploitation reported to NCMEC's CyberTipline in 2024, containing 62.9 million files.
NCMEC, 2025
reports of online enticement (adults grooming children) in 2024, a 192% increase from the year before.
increase in AI-generated child sexual abuse material reports between 2023 and 2024.
sextortion reports to NCMEC. Since 2021, at least 36 teenage boys have taken their own lives due to sextortion.
of reports resolve outside the United States. This is not an American problem. This is a global emergency.
End-to-end encryption is making platforms blind. In 2024, platforms reported 7 million fewer incidents than the year before, not because abuse stopped, but because they can no longer see it. The tools that catch known images are failing. The systems that rely on human moderators are overwhelmed.
The technology to detect behavior, grooming patterns, escalation, manipulation, in real-time text conversations exists right now. It is running at api.tuteliq.ai.
Every second we wait, another child is harmed.
The question is not whether this technology is possible. The question is whether we build the company to put it everywhere it needs to be.

Our Story
Tuteliq was born from a simple observation: as parents and engineers, we saw that protecting children online was getting harder, not easier. Regulations were multiplying, platforms were struggling, and developers were left without good tools.
Traditional content filters were failing because they looked at words in isolation. A child saying "I want to die laughing" triggered the same alert as genuine distress. We knew there had to be a better way.
So we built it. Working with criminologists, linguists, child psychologists, safety experts, and the developer community, we created an AI that truly understands context, one that can detect grooming patterns early, recognize emotional distress, and protect children without breaking the user experience.
Today, Tuteliq powers child safety for applications worldwide, from indie developers to enterprise platforms. But we're just getting started.

Our Position
Positioning Statement
For platform operators, social media companies, and digital service providers who need to ensure child safety compliance, Tuteliq is an AI-powered content analysis API that delivers comprehensive, real-time harm detection aligned with the KOSA framework. Unlike generic content moderation tools, Tuteliq is purpose-built for child safety with domain-specific AI models trained on KOSA harm categories, delivering both regulatory compliance and genuine protective outcomes.
Brand Promise
Intelligent guardianship for the digital age - protecting children with the precision of AI and the authority of law.
What Tuteliq Means
The name TUTELIQ draws from two deliberate sources:
Tutela (Latin)
In Roman law and culture, tutela was the formal legal concept of guardianship, specifically protection over minors and those unable to protect themselves. Tutela was also personified as a goddess of guardianship. The word carries connotations of duty, care, and institutional responsibility - the exact values a child safety platform should embody.
The legal precision of the Latin root is particularly valuable: tutela was not informal care but a legally defined responsibility with specific rights and obligations. This mirrors KOSA's legislative framework, where child safety is not optional goodwill but a codified duty.
-iq (suffix)
The "iq" suffix serves double duty: it evokes "IQ" (intelligence quotient), reinforcing the AI/intelligence dimension, while also functioning as a modern tech-brand suffix (in the tradition of names like Spliq, Logiq, etc.).
The combination creates a name that feels both rooted and forward-looking.
Our Values
These principles guide every decision we make, from product development to customer support.
Children First
Every decision we make starts with one question: does this make children safer? We never compromise on protection.
Privacy by Design
We believe safety and privacy aren't opposites. Our zero-retention architecture proves you can have both.
Context Matters
We understand that 'I want to die laughing' is different from genuine distress. Our AI is trained to understand nuance.
Developer Experience
Complex safety infrastructure, simple integration. We obsess over making compliance effortless for developers.
Why Companies Choose Tuteliq
Proud IWF Member
The Internet Watch Foundation is the UK's leading organisation dedicated to the removal of child sexual abuse material from the internet, and one of the most respected child protection bodies in the world. Membership is not automatic. It is granted to organisations that can demonstrate a genuine commitment to child safety and a meaningful role in advancing that mission.
Tuteliq became an IWF member on 1 June 2026. For us, that means that the technology we build, designed to detect grooming, exploitation, and harm before it escalates, sits within the same ecosystem as the analysts, law enforcement partners, and technology companies working every day to make the internet safer for children. We are proud to stand alongside them, and to contribute what we do best: detecting the behavioural patterns that other tools miss.
"Every child deserves to explore the internet without fear."
