Tuteliq is one of eight companies chosen from around 400 for the Baltic Ventures Accelerator 2026. What it means for us, and what we’re building next.

We’re proud to share that Tuteliq has been selected for the Baltic Ventures Accelerator 2026 cohort. Baltic Ventures received around 400 applications, and we’re one of eight companies chosen.

It’s a milestone for us. More importantly, it puts us among founders and investors at the point where the right support makes the biggest difference to what we build next.

What the accelerator offers

The Baltic Ventures Accelerator combines investment with hands-on support:

An initial £25,000 equity investment for every cohort company, made through an advance subscription agreement (ASA) by the Baltic Ventures Angel Syndicate Up to £75,000 in follow-on investment, available to selected companies A support programme worth £40,000, on top of the investment

For us, the programme matters as much as the capital. Building safety technology for platforms used by children means working across product, regulation, research and sales all at once. Access to experienced founders, angels and advisers who’ve scaled companies before will help us make better decisions, faster.

Why this matters for Tuteliq

Tuteliq gives platforms a single API that detects online harms to children as they develop, including grooming, sextortion and coercion. It works across text, voice, image and video, covers 13 harms in 32 languages, and retains no data.

Our approach comes from criminology. Harm to children rarely arrives as one bad message. It unfolds as a sequence: a compliment, a question about who else is home, a move to a private channel, a request for secrecy. Each step can look harmless on its own. Our models look for the pattern, so platforms can step in before harm happens, not after.

The need is growing. Under the Online Safety Act, platforms in the UK now have clear duties to protect children, and Ofcom has shown it’s willing to enforce them. Many of the services children use most, from games and social apps to dating services and AI companions, are growing faster than their safety infrastructure. They need detection they can trust, evidence that stands up to regulators, and tools they can build in without a large engineering team. That’s the gap we’re here to close.

Building from Liverpool

We opened our UK base in Liverpool this summer, and it was a great place to start the accelerator. We spent our first week in the city meeting the rest of the cohort. They’re an exceptional group of founders, and we’re already learning from them.

Liverpool gives us a strong base to work with UK platforms, regulators and the wider online safety community. It also connects us to the region’s research strengths and growing tech sector. Baltic Ventures’ commitment to backing founders in the North West is a big part of why this programme suits us.

Where we are now

Joining the accelerator builds on a busy year:

We have our first paying customers. We’re a member of the Internet Watch Foundation. We’ve joined OSTIA, the UK’s Online Safety Tech Industry Association. We’re part of Cohort 11 of the DigitalWell Accelerator.

Over the coming months, we’ll focus on:

completing independent benchmarks of our models finishing our ISO 27001 and SOC 2 external audits growing our work with platforms in the UK and beyond Thank you

Thank you to the Baltic Ventures team and the Angel Syndicate for backing us, and to everyone involved in a demanding selection process. Thank you too to our fellow cohort companies for such a warm start.

There’s much more to come. Follow along as we build, and if you run a platform where children and young people spend time, [get in touch]. We’d be glad to show you what behaviour-based detection can do.
