Built with specialists, not just engineers
Tuteliq's detection models are not built by engineers alone. From the earliest stages of research and development, we have engaged specialist consultants across criminology, child psychology, forensic linguistics and behavioural science to ensure that every model reflects how harm actually works, not how technology assumes it works.
This interdisciplinary approach is foundational to what makes Tuteliq different. Our grooming detection was shaped by criminologists who have studied offender behaviour for decades. Our coercive control models were informed by psychologists who work directly with survivors. Our language analysis was developed with forensic linguists who understand how manipulation operates across cultures and languages.
We are currently forming an Expert Advisory Board to deepen this commitment. The board will bring together leading academics, practitioners and policy experts in child protection, online safety, criminal justice and AI ethics to provide ongoing guidance on detection methodology, research priorities and ethical standards. If you are a researcher or practitioner working in this space and would like to be considered, we welcome you to get in touch.
